What are Management Training Academies (MTA)?

MTAs are the cornerstone of Garage Composites’ training model—the most intensive and comprehensive educational program in the Powersports industry.

These year-long academies go beyond teaching managers (or future managers) how to manage. They instill discipline, dedication, efficiency, business acumen, and performance measurement—skills that directly impact department success.

Participants are held accountable through peer collaboration, homework assignments, staff training exercises, and regular check-ins with ownership. This rigorous structure ensures that managers don’t just learn—they apply their training in real time to drive measurable results.

All Management Training Academies (MTAs) are built around three essential components of business success:

1. Composite Geography & Benchmarks
Accountability starts with understanding the numbers. Managers learn how to read and interpret departmental statistics, connect behaviors to outcomes, and measure performance against industry benchmarks.

2. Departmental Processes
Processes drive results. MTAs take a deep dive into implementing and managing systems that ensure consistency and accountability. Managers explore the psychology of effective sales processes, how to create structure, and how to build an environment that relies on systems—not individuals.

3. Management & Leadership
True leadership requires accountability. MTAs emphasize leadership principles and proven management philosophies, holding participants accountable to their peers, Garage Composites staff, their ownership, and most importantly—themselves.
